Healthy? No. An adventure? Yes.

Honestly, I feel pretty stupid doing this but if I don't write this down, I'll forget it. And I suppose it would be a shame not to write it down. This will hopefully be a record of an exploration into the wide world of fermented, distilled, colored, sweetened, bittered, flavored, and non-flavored world of adult beverages. So far I'd like to think that I've plowed a decent way into the market, mainly in the proverbial "brown spirits". Bourbon, scotch, and rum are favorites of mine, along with good beer, but at this point I'd try anything you set in front of me. Vodka really isn't a good friend of mine per se, more of an acquaintance while tequila is a nemisis, at least. But regardless if its straight up, with a twist, on the rocks, or mixed, if you pay for it or recommend it, I will try it in the name of science and taste. Forthcoming will be reviews of what I've already sampled and hopefully there will be many more to come. If you know of any vodkas, gins, stouts, India Pale Ales or any other spirit or beer that you deem potable, then put it in the comments and I'll do my best to get a bottle or can of it as cash allows. I'd like to see this blog moved to my own site some day, but with a degree in Chemical Engineering still underway, who knows if I'll have the time or money.
